Fraud Prevention with the New Westminster Police Department

By electronic recycling association March 22, 2022

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) teamed up with the New Westminster Police Department in British Columbia on March 19th, 2022 for a Fraud Prevention Event.  Members of the community brought down unwanted electronic devices such as hard drives, computers, laptops, phones, tablets, tapes and other small devices storing sensitive data to securely destroy and recycled the electronics for FREE.

We would like to thank the New Westminster Police Department for partnering with us for such an important event, as part of ERA’s efforts to raise awareness of the dangers associated with inadequate diligence around personal computing devices. Studies have shown that fear of data being recovered from old equipment is one of the biggest obstacles of reuse. When you utilize the ERA’s data destruction services, you can be assured that your data will be secure from retrieval.
