Kawartha Lakes Police Fraud Prevention Event

By electronic recycling association March 21, 2022

On March 18th, 2022 the Kawartha Lakes Police and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) partnered together to help the community of Kawartha Lakes, ON protect their private information through data destruction.

During our safe destruction event, citizens brought unwanted electronic devices such as hard drives, computers, laptops, phones, tapes and other small devices storing sensitive data to securely destroyed for FREE.

We would like to thank the Kawartha Lakes Police Service for partnering with us for such an important event, as part of ERA’s efforts to raise awareness of the dangers associated with inadequate diligence around personal computing devices. Studies have shown that fear of data being recovered from old equipment is one of the biggest obstacles of reuse. When you utilize the ERA’s data destruction services, you can be assured that your data will be secure from retrieval.
