Established in 1999, Chabad Zichron Kedoshim (formerly Chabad Queen Mary) has grown to become a thriving center that serves the community with a daily Minyan, a Shabbos Minyan, Holiday celebrations, lectures on timely Jewish issues, the Jewish Learning Institute, and much more. Conveniently located, Chabad Zichron Kedoshim attracts a wide spectrum of the Jewish community. When this community centre in Montreal reached out to ERA for 2 laptops for their organization, we were happy to help!
Their goal is to reach every single person within their community with an approach of unconditional love, and accomplish the following mission:
- Reaching & Touching Everyone: Influence all people with Jewish teachings & values. Inspire Jews to embrace Judaism with joy and make it an integral part of their lives.
- Building Community: Through creating community centres that provide services that cater to the spiritual needs (i.e. learning & community support) of all age groups and diverse populations within Montreal, we build strong Jewish identity, affiliation and commitment. A specific focus is upon families and those seeking to embrace Judaism.
- Personal Growth: Guide every individual toward his/her G‑d given potential by providing oppurtunities for people to experience the depth of Jewish & Chassidic thought, especially the clarity of the Rebbe’s teachings.
- Lamplighters: Encourage community members to be active Lamplighters (volunteers/leaders) who work towards the Rebbe’s vision of improving the lives of fellow Jews in the spirit of “Love your fellow as yourself,” inspiring Jews tp strengthen their Jewish connection, and changing the world for the good – Moshiach now.
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization committed to reducing unnecessary electronic waste by recycling and repurposing used electronics. We work with local companies to repurpose used electronics and IT equipment in a safe and secure manner. Our team works with community charities to provide repurpose computers and electronics to those in need. Contribute to our mission of reducing e-waste by recycling your unwanted electronic devices with the ERA.
Get involved by dropping off your unwanted IT equipment to one of our depots located in 7 cities across Canada. We will work to refurbish and donate your contribution to those in need. Our Montreal warehouse is open Monday-Friday 9a-5p are we are located at #160, 130 Boulevard Saint-Joseph, Lachine.
