The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce the donation of two refurbished laptops to Kennedy House Youth Shelter in Toronto. This technology donation will help support young residents by improving their access to essential digital tools for education, employment, and communication.
Kennedy House Youth Shelter, a vital community resource, provides safe accommodation for up to 23 youth aged 16 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness. These young individuals are working toward stability and independence, and having access to technology plays a critical role in that journey.
The donated laptops will be available for residents to sign out for various needs, including:
- Online learning and remote education
- Job searching and resume writing
- Virtual interviews
- Accessing essential services and resources
By adding additional laptops to their facility, Kennedy House can now accommodate more youth at once, helping reduce wait times and providing greater access to the digital tools they need to build a better future.
ERA is committed to reducing e-waste and bridging the digital divide by refurbishing donated electronics and redistributing them to charities, shelters, and nonprofit organizations across Canada. We are grateful for the opportunity to support Kennedy House in their mission to uplift and empower vulnerable youth in Toronto.
