The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to share the success of the recent Electronics Recycling Collection Event held in partnership with the Town of Delisle from May 8 to May 15, 2026.
Thanks to the support of local residents and the Town of Delisle, a total of 236 lbs of unwanted electronics was successfully collected and responsibly diverted from landfill through ERA’s secure electronics recycling and reuse program.
Supporting Sustainable Communities Through Electronics Recycling
Community electronics recycling events play an important role in helping reduce electronic waste while encouraging environmental responsibility and sustainability within local communities.
As technology continues to grow, more unwanted electronics end up in storage, dumpsters, or landfills. Responsible electronics recycling helps ensure that reusable devices can be properly refurbished, reused, or safely recycled while preventing harmful materials from negatively impacting the environment.
Partnerships between municipalities and organizations like ERA create valuable opportunities for communities to:
- reduce electronic waste
- support sustainability and circular economy initiatives
- increase environmental awareness
- encourage responsible electronics disposal
- support technology reuse and donation programs
- create cleaner and greener communities
Events like this also provide residents with a simple and accessible way to safely recycle unwanted electronics close to home.
The Importance of Community Partnerships
ERA strongly believes that long-term environmental impact is created through strong community partnerships and local engagement.
Collaborating with municipalities like the Town of Delisle helps expand access to responsible electronics recycling services while supporting broader sustainability and waste diversion goals across Canada.
These partnerships not only help protect the environment, but also support community awareness, responsible recycling habits, and future reuse opportunities for electronics and technology.
Thank You to the Town of Delisle
ERA would like to sincerely thank the Town of Delisle for their partnership, support, and commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
We would also like to thank all residents and community members who participated in the event and helped make this electronics recycling initiative successful.
ERA is always excited to partner with municipalities, schools, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations across Canada interested in organizing electronics recycling events, sustainability initiatives, and technology reuse programs.
Join ERA and help support a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future through responsible electronics recycling and reuse.
