Helping Reduce E-Waste in Calgary
Electronic waste continues to be one of the fastest-growing waste streams in Canada. Many devices still contain reusable materials and working components that should not end up in landfill.
Through this Calgary electronics recycling event, ERA will help ensure collected electronics are either:
- refurbished and reused,
- securely processed for responsible recycling,
- or donated to charities and organizations in need.
ERA’s reuse-first approach helps extend the life of electronics while reducing environmental impact and supporting communities across Canada.
Supporting Digital Inclusion Across Canada
One of the core goals of ERA’s mission is digital inclusion.
Whenever possible, collected laptops, desktops, and other technology are refurbished and donated to:
- charities,
- schools,
- non-profit organizations,
- newcomer support programs,
- low-income families,
- and individuals without access to technology.
Every refurbished device represents an opportunity to connect someone to education, employment opportunities, healthcare access, and essential online services.
What Electronics Can Be Recycled?

- laptops and desktop computers,
