The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to collaborate with Minister Gilles Bélanger to support digital inclusion initiatives across Quebec through meaningful technology donations to local community organizations.
As part of this initiative, ERA donated refurbished electronic devices to Missisquoi-North Volunteer Action Centre, which received 3 desktop computers, 2 laptops, and 5 tablets. ERA also donated 4 laptops, 5 tablets, and 1 mobile phone to Valcourt and Region Volunteer Action Centre.
These donations will help improve access to technology for individuals and families in need while supporting local programs focused on education, communication, and digital accessibility.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to digital equity, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment. By extending the lifecycle of electronic devices through secure refurbishment and reuse, ERA continues to promote its “Reuse Before Recycling” mission — ensuring technology creates meaningful social impact before being responsibly recycled.
“At ERA, we believe technology should be accessible to everyone,” said Bojan Paduh, Founder and President of ERA. “By working alongside leaders such as Minister Gilles Bélanger and community organizations throughout Quebec, we can help bridge the digital divide while reducing electronic waste and supporting local communities.”
All donated devices were professionally refurbished and securely data wiped in accordance with ERA’s certified data security and environmental standards. Through its secure IT asset disposition and electronics recycling programs, ERA helps organizations responsibly manage retired technology while supporting charities and nonprofits across Canada.
