The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to donate six refurbished laptops to CARE Jeunesse, a Quebec-based organization dedicated to supporting youth currently in care and individuals who have previously been part of the child protection system.
This laptop donation will help CARE Jeunesse provide greater access to reliable technology while supporting its programs, community outreach, educational initiatives, and daily organizational activities.
Through donations like this, ERA continues to reduce electronic waste, extend the useful life of technology, and help Canadian charities and nonprofit organizations access the digital equipment they need.
Supporting CARE Jeunesse’s Work in Quebec
CARE Jeunesse provides support, advocacy, resources, and community connections for youth in and from care across Quebec.
The organization helps create a welcoming and inclusive environment where young people can build relationships, develop important life skills, access useful resources, and receive support as they transition toward independence.
Reliable access to laptops can play an important role in helping young people participate in education, search for employment, prepare résumés, access online services, and stay connected with community support networks.
ERA is pleased to support CARE Jeunesse and the meaningful work it continues to provide for young people throughout Quebec.
Giving Electronics a Second Life
Many businesses and individuals replace their electronic equipment even when the devices still have years of useful life remaining.
ERA collects unwanted laptops, desktop computers, monitors, smartphones, tablets, servers, and other electronic equipment from businesses and individuals across Canada.
Reusable devices are securely processed, tested, cleaned, and refurbished before being donated to eligible charities, nonprofit organizations, schools, and care facilities.
Electronics that cannot be reused are responsibly recycled to help prevent unnecessary electronic waste from entering Canadian landfills.
This reuse-first approach creates both environmental and social benefits by reducing e-waste while helping communities access essential technology.
Creating Environmental and Community Impact
ERA’s Technology Donation Program connects reusable electronics with organizations that need them most.
Every refurbished laptop donation helps:
- Reduce electronic waste
- Extend the lifespan of electronic equipment
- Support digital inclusion
- Lower technology costs for nonprofit organizations
- Improve access to education and employment resources
- Strengthen community programs across Canada
The donation of six laptops to CARE Jeunesse demonstrates how responsible electronics reuse can create a meaningful and lasting impact.
ERA is honoured to support CARE Jeunesse and its continued commitment to empowering youth in and from care.
Apply for Donated Technology
Canadian charities, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and eligible care facilities can apply to receive refurbished technology through ERA’s Technology Donation Program.
Donation requests are reviewed based on eligibility, available inventory, and the organization’s technology needs.
By donating electronics or partnering with ERA, businesses can help reduce e-waste, support the circular economy, and provide valuable digital tools to communities across Canada.
Together, we can give unwanted electronics a second life and help build a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable future.
