The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support the Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health with a gift-in-kind donation of two refurbished laptops and one projector.
The donated equipment will support the silent auction at the Foundation’s fundraising tournament. By contributing valuable technology for the auction, ERA is helping the Foundation maximize the funds raised through the event and direct more resources toward essential mental health care, programs and services.
Supporting Life-Changing Mental Health Care
The Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health raises funds to enhance patient care, advance research and innovation, and support important programs at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences.
Ontario Shores is a public teaching hospital that provides specialized assessment and treatment services for people living with complex and serious mental illness. Its recovery-focused approach is built on compassion, empowerment and hope.
Funds raised through community events and silent auctions help the Foundation support patients, families and programs that may not be fully funded through traditional healthcare resources. ERA’s technology donation will help strengthen these fundraising efforts while contributing to an engaging tournament experience.
Giving Refurbished Technology a New Purpose
ERA follows a reuse-first approach to electronics recycling. Whenever possible, donated computers and electronic devices are securely processed, refurbished and given a second life through charitable donations and community initiatives.
In this case, two laptops and a projector will generate further value as silent auction items. Instead of becoming electronic waste, the equipment can find new owners while helping raise funds for compassionate and recovery-oriented mental health care.
This donation demonstrates how technology reuse can create both environmental and social benefits. Extending the useful life of electronic equipment helps reduce e-waste, conserve valuable resources and support organizations making a meaningful difference in their communities.
Technology Reuse That Strengthens Communities
ERA is pleased to support the Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health and its commitment to transforming mental health care for individuals and families in need.
Businesses and organizations can also make a difference by donating unwanted laptops, computers, monitors, projectors and other electronic equipment to ERA.
Eligible devices may be refurbished and redirected to charities, schools and community organizations across Canada.
Book an electronics pickup with ERA and help give unwanted technology a valuable second life.
Charities, non-profits, care facilities and educational institutions in need of technology can also apply for an equipment donation.
