Learn About Responsible Electronics Recycling

Electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams, making responsible management of unwanted technology increasingly important. At the Sustainability Fair, ERA will share information about what happens to unwanted electronics and how individuals and organizations can make more sustainable choices when retiring their devices.

ERA takes a reuse-first approach to electronics. Whenever possible, reusable computers, laptops, tablets, phones, and other devices are refurbished and given a second life. Refurbished technology can then be donated to charities, schools, non-profits, and community organizations in need. Electronics that cannot be reused are responsibly recycled.

ERA also provides secure data destruction and electronics pickup services to help businesses and organizations safely and responsibly manage their unwanted technology.

If you’re part of the Mount Royal University community, stop by the ERA booth on October 8 to learn more about electronic recycling, technology reuse, and how giving old electronics a second life can benefit both the environment and the community.

We look forward to seeing you at the Mount Royal University Sustainability Fair 2026!
