The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently partnered with Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Gilles Bélanger, to provide a technology donation to CÉPOP in Magog, Québec.
As part of the initiative, ERA donated six laptops, two tablets, one projector, and one monitor to help CÉPOP access reliable technology for its programs, operations, and community services.
Giving Electronics a Second Life
At ERA, our mission goes beyond electronics recycling. We work with businesses and organizations across Canada to collect unwanted computers, laptops, phones, tablets, and other electronic equipment and give reusable technology a second life.
Whenever possible, electronics collected by ERA are refurbished and donated to charities, schools, non-profits, and community organizations in need. This reuse-first approach helps reduce electronic waste while making technology more accessible to communities across Canada.
ERA also provides organizations with professional electronics recycling, IT asset disposition, data destruction, and electronics collection services. By working with ERA, businesses can responsibly manage retired technology while supporting environmental sustainability and community impact.
Turning Unwanted Technology into Community Impact
The donation to CÉPOP demonstrates what can happen when government, businesses, community organizations, and ERA work together. Technology that may otherwise sit unused or enter the waste stream can instead become a valuable resource for an organization that needs it.
ERA continues to encourage businesses across Quebec and Canada to donate their unwanted electronics. From office upgrades and equipment refreshes to large-scale IT asset cleanouts, reusable devices can make a meaningful difference.
By choosing ERA for electronics recycling and technology reuse, organizations can protect their data, reduce e-waste, and help provide valuable technology to communities in need.
