ATB Financial and ERA Host a Free Calgary Electronics Recycling Fundraiser for Circular Economy Month
In celebration of Circular Economy Month, ATB Financial and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) are teaming up to host a free Electronics Recycling & Data Destruction Event in Edmonton.
The event gives community members and businesses an opportunity to responsibly recycle unwanted electronics, securely destroy sensitive data, and support a local charity.

Time: 9:30 a.m. –3:30 p.m.
Location: ATB Financial, 388 Country Hills Blvd NE #800, Calgary, AB T3K 5J6
Bring unwanted laptops, desktop computers, tablets, cell phones, monitors, hard drives, USBs, discs, and other electronics.
ERA will be on-site with its Mobile Hard Drive Shredder, providing secure physical destruction of hard drives, solid-state drives (SSDs), and small electronic devices that may contain or store sensitive data. This service provides participants with a convenient way to securely destroy data-bearing devices before they are recycled.
This event supports ATB Financial’s commitment to sustainability and building stronger communities by encouraging Albertans to give unwanted technology a second life, reduce electronic waste, and support the circular economy.
ERA holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications, demonstrating its commitment to information security, quality management, environmental responsibility, and occupational health and safety.
ERA will prioritize reuse whenever possible. Reusable electronics collected at the event will be refurbished and donated to Womens Centre of Calgary, helping provide access to technology for those who need it.
Electronics that cannot be refurbished will be responsibly recycled. Through ERA’s Moolah for Macros fundraising program, funds generated from eligible recycled materials will be donated to Womens Centre of Calgary turning unwanted electronics into additional support for the community.
