The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) was proud to join the Town of Canmore’s Share and Repair Fair on September 11, 2026, at Elevation Place.
The community event brought residents and local organizations together to give everyday items a second life through repairing, sharing, reusing, upcycling, and responsible recycling. ERA was pleased to be part of the event by providing an electronics collection opportunity for the Canmore community.
Throughout the event, community members dropped off unwanted electronics, helping divert technology from the waste stream and creating opportunities for reusable devices to have a second life.
ERA collected a total of 69 lbs of electronics, including:
- 2 PCs
- 2 LCD monitors
- 10 cellphones
- 1 box of miscellaneous electronics
Every device counts. Whether it is one cellphone, one computer, or an entire office full of retired technology, collecting and reusing electronics can make a difference for both the environment and the community.
Following the event, ERA will be partnering with the Town of Canmore to donate suitable technology devices to Rocky Mountain Adaptive in Canmore, Alberta.
The goal is to ensure that reusable technology collected through community initiatives like the Share and Repair Fair can continue to provide value rather than going to waste.
ERA believes that technology reuse can create a double impact: reducing electronic waste while helping provide technology to organizations that can put it to good use.
