The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to have supported Harmony Public Charter School with a donation of 10 refurbished laptops, helping teachers prepare for the school’s opening and ensuring students could begin learning without disruption.
As Harmony Public Charter School prepared to open its doors for the first time, unexpected technology challenges created a need for additional computer equipment. ERA stepped in to provide 10 refurbished laptops, helping ensure teachers had the essential tools they needed to prepare their classrooms and welcome students for the new school year.
ERA’s donation of 10 laptops provided a critical solution.
Working alongside Transpera, ERA responded quickly to the school’s technology needs. The donated laptops allowed teachers to access essential technology, prepare classrooms, and begin educating students while other technical challenges were being resolved.
The impact of this donation extended far beyond the equipment itself. It helped a new school overcome an unexpected obstacle and ensured educators had the tools necessary to support their students from day one.
Representatives from Transpera and Harmony Public Charter School expressed their sincere appreciation for ERA’s responsiveness and commitment to community support.
“ERA actually demonstrated what that looks like when it mattered,” shared a Transpera representative, highlighting the importance of meaningful community partnerships.
Giving Refurbished Technology a Second Life
At ERA, we believe access to technology should never be a barrier to education. Through our laptop donation and electronics recycling programs, we refurbish donated computers and redistribute them to schools, charities, and nonprofit organizations across Canada.
By giving retired electronics a second life, ERA helps bridge the digital divide, supports digital inclusion, and reduces electronic waste.
Have unwanted laptops or computers? Your organization can help make a difference by donating retired technology to support communities in need.
