ERA Donates Laptops to SEEDS in Toronto

By electronic recycling association March 27, 2024

In the fight against human trafficking and exploitation, every resource counts. Recently, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) donated tech to Supporting Every Eve’s Daughter Safely (SEEDS) in Toronto by donating 6 laptops. This donation will be providing tools for empowerment and new beginnings.

SEEDS is a beacon of hope for women who have survived the horrors of sex trafficking and exploitation. Their mission goes beyond immediate rescue; it focuses on long-term recovery and rebuilding lives shattered by trauma. With a vision to empower survivors, SEEDS offers a comprehensive solution, providing support and resources to help these women reclaim their independence and dignity.

The 6 laptops donated by ERA hold immense significance in furthering SEEDS’ mission. Out of these, 2 laptops are designated for staff use. These laptops serve as vital tools for case management, administrative tasks, and reporting. By streamlining these processes, staff members can focus more on directly supporting survivors, ensuring that their needs are met efficiently and effectively.

However, the impact doesn’t stop there. 4r additional laptops are earmarked for the clients themselves. These laptops serve as gateways to education, career advancement, and skill development. With access to these resources, survivors can engage in educational requirements, work on resume writing, and enhance their general computer skills. In a world increasingly reliant on digital literacy, these tools are invaluable in helping survivors reintegrate into society and pursue meaningful opportunities.

If you want to make a difference to both people in need, and the environment, then it’s time to start electronic recycling with the ERA. And it’s not as difficult as it seems. We here at the Electronic Recycling Association have made it easy for everyone. If there is any electronic device – cell phone, tablets, laptop – that you want to donate, we will take it off your hands.
