Charities Receives Technology on Giving Tuesday

By electronic recycling association November 30, 2021

We know that times are tough, but there are still reasons to smile.  In honor of #GivingTuesday ERA is sending out a total of 54 devices to charities and non-profit organizations across Canada. The laptops, computers, projectors, cellphones, and tablets will help these organizations work more efficiently. Some of the items will be given to clients who are in need of electronics to stay connected and for children to continue their schooling.

Hopefully these donations will give the following charities a reason to smile this holiday season.

·         The Canadian Helpers Society
·         The Depot Community Food Centre
·         Soupe et compagnie
·         Drop In Centre
·         Times Change Women’s Employment Service
·         Glorious Women of Wonders Prayer Ministry
·         Community Transformation Partners
·         Mount Zion Gospel Church Inc.
·         Operation Save Canadian Youth
·         Toronto North Support Services

What is Giving Tuesday? Giving Tuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “Opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies, and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for GivingTuesday. Check it out here.

We are in uncharted waters. COVID-19 is present nearly everywhere, and our community is no exception. The Electronic Recycling Association has an important role to play by continuing operations to best serve our community. Will you join us?
