The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Kootenai Brown Historical Park in Pincher Creek, Alberta, with a recent donation of refurbished technology.
ERA donated three desktop computers and one high-end laptop to help support the historical park’s programs and day-to-day operations.
Supporting Alberta Communities Through Technology Reuse
Access to reliable technology is important for nonprofit and community organizations. Computers help staff manage programs, communicate with the public, maintain records, coordinate events and carry out the everyday work that keeps community organizations moving forward.
By providing refurbished technology to organizations such as Kootenai Brown Historical Park, ERA helps extend the useful life of electronic devices while supporting important community initiatives.
Technology reuse is also an important part of reducing electronic waste. Instead of reusable computers being prematurely recycled or discarded, ERA works with businesses and organizations to collect unwanted electronics, securely manage data and refurbish suitable devices for donation.
Giving Retired Technology a Second Life
ERA believes that technology that is no longer needed by one organization can still have tremendous value for another.
Donations like this are made possible through businesses and organizations that choose to responsibly reuse their retired computers, laptops and other electronics.
By donating unwanted technology to ERA, organizations can help reduce e-waste, support the circular economy and provide technology to charities, nonprofits, schools and community organizations across Canada.
Does Your Organization Need Technology?
ERA’s Computer Grant Program helps eligible charities, nonprofits, educational institutions and community organizations access refurbished technology.
