By electronic recycling association March 19, 2024

To commemorate Fraud Prevention Month, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is teaming up with the Whitchurch-Stouffville Chamber of Commerce and the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library to safeguard your private information through secure data destruction.

Date: Thursday, March 28, 2024

Time: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m

Location: 2 Park Dr. Stouffville ON. L4A 4K1 (North parking lot)

The Whitchurch-Stouffville community is invited to participate by bringing unwanted electronic devices, such as hard drives, computers, laptops, phones, tablets, tapes, and other small devices containing sensitive data. The Electronics Recycling Association will collect and securely destroy these items, including gaming consoles, stereo equipment, desktop computers and laptops, handheld devices, printers, accessories, phone systems, servers, software, and routers. Please note that personal or household appliances will not be accepted.

ERA will provide a portable hard drive shredder for the public to use, free of charge. You can bring phones, computers, handheld devices, printers, and other electronic equipment containing personal data to be shredded. However, we can only shred hard drives that have been separated from their devices. If you wish to bring your devices, this will be handled at our nearby depot.
