The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support St. Joseph’s Food Bank in Mission, British Columbia, with the donation of two refurbished laptops. This technology donation is part of ERA’s ongoing commitment to extending the life of reusable electronics while helping charities and community organizations across Canada gain access to the technology they need.
St. Joseph’s Food Bank serves individuals and families throughout Mission and the surrounding community, working to help ensure residents have reliable access to nutritious food and essential support. The organization is the official registered food bank for Mission and is a member of Food Banks BC.
Supporting Community Organizations Through Technology
Technology plays an important role in the day-to-day operations of nonprofit organizations. From communication and administration to program coordination and community outreach, reliable computers help organizations work more efficiently and stay connected with the people they serve.
The two laptops donated by ERA will provide St. Joseph’s Food Bank with additional technology resources to support its work in the community.
For ERA, every technology donation represents more than simply providing a device. It is an opportunity to give reusable electronics a second life while creating meaningful community impact.
Giving Electronics a Second Life in British Columbia
ERA works with businesses, organizations, and individuals throughout Vancouver, the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and across Canada to collect unwanted computers, laptops, phones, monitors, and other electronic equipment.
Whenever possible, reusable technology is refurbished and redirected to charities, schools, nonprofit organizations, and individuals in need rather than being prematurely recycled.
This reuse-first approach helps:
- extend the useful life of electronic equipment;
- reduce unnecessary electronic waste;
- provide technology to organizations that need it;
- support digital inclusion in Canadian communities; and
- create greater social value from unwanted corporate technology.
ERA has been reducing unnecessary electronic waste since 2004 through electronics reuse, refurbishment, recycling, secure data destruction, and technology donation programs across Canada.
Donate Your Unwanted Electronics with ERA
Businesses throughout Vancouver and British Columbia can make a difference by donating their unwanted or surplus technology to ERA.
Laptops, desktop computers, smartphones, tablets, monitors, and other electronics may still have significant value after an organization no longer needs them. Through ERA’s reuse and recycling programs, eligible equipment can be securely processed, refurbished, and given another opportunity to support Canadian communities.
Organizations can also work with ERA to arrange electronics pickups, secure data destruction, electronics recycling, and community collection events.
If your business has unwanted IT equipment, consider giving it a second life.
Contact the Electronic Recycling Association today to schedule an electronics pickup or learn more about donating technology to charities across Canada.
Together, we can reduce e-waste, support local communities, and create more opportunities through technology.
