Bridges for Women Society Receives a Laptop Donation

By electronic recycling association April 4, 2019

Bridges for Women Society are a non-profit dedicated to women who have lived through abuse and/or trauma. They support women in breaking the cycles of poverty and abuse in their lives. Their Vision is that every woman affected by violence or abuse will have economic security to sustain herself and her family, in safety, health and freedom and dignity.

Speaking with Carrie Everett at Bridges for women Society she said, “Thank you so much for donating the refurbished laptop to Bridges for Women Society! The client who I had ordered it for happened to be in the office when it was delivered. We were both filled with so much excitement and my client expressed that it felt like Christmas morning! She is now able to be more self-sufficient and independent in her job search and with her creative writing and no longer is relying on public computers to access the internet. Having her own laptop now means that she can do tasks from home, and as a woman with a disability, who is low income, this is very meaningful.”
