By electronic recycling association July 8, 2022

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is thrilled to announce the donation of 25 computers, 25 laptops, and a projector to the Calgary Community Network Association (CCNA). This organization has utilized ERA’s services in the past to dispose of their obsolete devices and we are happy to give back donations of refurbished computers to assist them in their Barrier Free Project which has been ongoing since 2001.

The Calgary Community Network Association goal is to give 50 computers a year. They also give High Speed Internet service for one year. Gifts are based on their budget so when they get computers for free from ERA, then they can give more clients Internet service!

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization committed to reducing unnecessary electronic waste by recycling and repurposing used electronics. We work with local companies to repurpose used electronics and IT equipment in a safe and secure manner. Our team works with community charities to provide repurpose computers and electronics to those in need. Contribute to our mission of reducing e-waste by recycling your unwanted electronic devices with the ERA.

Addressing data security represents a core element of the ERA’s value proposition and service offering. We possess robust data wiping and physical destruction capabilities, and have employed these capabilities in partnership with Canadian Law Enforcement agencies as part of our efforts to raise awareness of the dangers associated with inadequate diligence around personal computing devices. Studies have shown that fear of data being recovered from old equipment is one of the biggest obstacles of reuse. When you utilize the ERA’s data destruction services, you can be assured that your data will be secure from retrieval.

Donating your used electronics is as simple as giving us a call or contacting us online. Schedule a pick up date with our team or visit one of our donation depots Canada-wide. We accept used desktops, notebooks, computer peripherals, software, and more.
