London, Ontario, came together to give unwanted electronics a new purpose. The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is pleased to share that the community collection hosted by Reimagine Co brought in 1,275 lbs of electronics for assessment, reuse, and responsible recycling.
Every contribution helped make this collection a success. To everyone who brought in equipment, shared the event, or helped organize it: thank you.
A Community Effort Worth Celebrating
Held from October 15–25, 2026, at Reimagine Co, 206 Piccadilly Street, the collection marked Circular Economy Month. The initiative also included the October 24 Tech & Tools Trunk Sale, connecting electronics collection with opportunities to explore second-hand equipment, repair, and reuse.
The result shows what a welcoming local collection point and committed community partners can accomplish together. By making it easier to pass along unused electronics, the initiative gave London residents a practical way to clear out stored equipment and support more responsible use of technology.
Thank You to Our Hosts and Partners
ERA extends a special thank-you to Reimagine Co for hosting the collection and coordinating local partnerships, and to Dilly Dally Café for providing the drop-off location.
We also thank Scott Bruder of Scott Bruder (ScottB.ca) , co-host of the Tech & Tools Trunk Sale; Dilly Dally Café, the Thames Region Ecological Association (TREA); and the IInstitute for Community Sustainability / London Repair Café for their collaboration.
Their work brought together people with a shared interest in keeping useful products and materials in circulation. We appreciate the planning, space, and community connections that helped make this initiative possible.

What Happens to the Collected Electronics?
Collection is the beginning of the next stage. ERA will assess the equipment to determine what can be refurbished and reused.
Suitable devices can support ERA’s technology donation programs for charities, schools, and nonprofit organizations. Equipment that cannot be reused will be directed toward responsible recycling.
The final outcome depends on each item’s condition and suitability. The goal is to preserve useful technology wherever possible and manage the remaining equipment responsibly.
Keep Electronics Reuse Growing in London
The 1,275 lbs collected represents a meaningful contribution from the London community – and an encouraging foundation for future collaboration.
Thank you to our hosts, partners, and every participant who made room for this initiative in their day. Your involvement helps turn unwanted electronics into opportunities for reuse and community support.
