Centre for Autism Services Alberta Receives 2 Laptops

By electronic recycling association October 26, 2018

We were delighted to donate two laptops to the Centre for Autism Services Alberta. Their mission is to provide comprehensive and innovative supports and services to those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder across the lifespan. The Centre for Autism Services Alberta is a Canadian leader in clinical therapy, early childhood education, and enrichment programming for children, teens, and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The Centre is one of the largest autism agencies in western Canada and the only autism-accredited service provider in Alberta.

Their focus is on the child and the family with services designed to improve daily living skills and increase caregiver capacity to provide developmentally-appropriate parenting. Children are provided direct care to improve function and parents are coached on concrete skills that will increase their children independence and improve overall quality of life for the entire family.

These laptops will support the staff working directing with families and children affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. They would enable staff to be more efficient and effective in their day to day efforts, which results in being able to serve more families. These laptops would support their work in their Calgary location, which is their smaller location and looking to grow. The laptops will really make a difference in the Centre’s daily work.
