On March 31th, 2023 the Delta Police & the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) partnered together to help the community of Delta , BC, protect their private information through data destruction.
We held an electronics collection and data shredding event at the Delta Police Headquarters where citizens came to donate unwanted electronic devices such as hard drives, computers, laptops, phones, tablets, tapes and other small devices storing sensitive data. Citizens where able to securely destroyed OR wiped clean and re-used for FREE in support of Fraud Prevention Month. Hard drives were destroyed on-site to prevent data being recovered from old equipment and the items collected will be refurbished and donated to a variety of local organizations
