The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Literacy Lambton in Sarnia, Ontario, with the donation of six refurbished laptops. This contribution will empower adult learners by giving them access to vital technology—an essential resource in today’s digital world.
Technology Access for Adult Learners
For many adult learners, access to technology is a significant barrier to success. With limited household budgets, essentials like food and housing understandably take priority over purchasing a computer. Yet, without access to a laptop or desktop, advancing education, completing certifications, or accessing online services becomes incredibly difficult.
With this tech donation from ERA, Literacy Lambton can now provide its clients with the tools they need to overcome these challenges. From completing employment certifications like SmartServe, which requires up-to-date software and video capabilities, to virtually attending mentoring sessions for high school course upgrading—these laptops will have a life-changing impact on learners who need them most.
Supporting Digital Inclusion Through Electronic Recycling in Sarnia
This initiative reflects ERA’s commitment to closing the digital divide by repurposing electronic devices for meaningful use in Canadian communities. By donating refurbished technology to charities, nonprofits, and educational organizations, we’re helping individuals build brighter futures through digital inclusion.
