The Equal Opportunity Community Initiative (EOCI) is a Toronto-based nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life of vulnerable children both locally and internationally. Their vision is to create a world where disadvantaged children have an equal opportunity to compete, and are given the chance to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams. They make it their mission to support vulnerable children in the communities they all call home.

The Equal Opportunity Community Initiative has proudly adopted the 100% model, wherein 100% of the donations they receive go directly to their programming and activities.

They know that when you make a donation, you do it to help children in need, not to cover administrative costs. As an organization of volunteers, they ensure that your full donation goes directly to those who need it the most.

It’s not always the easiest way to go about it, but they strongly believe it’s the ethical and responsible way to connect 100% of your donation to those who will benefit from it the most.

The 100% Model – They exist to serve communities, not themselves. That’s why 100% of the donations they receive go directly to helping those in need.

The Equal Opportunity Community Initiative invests in disadvantaged and at-risk children and youth to give them what they deserve most: the chance to reach their full potential and fulfill their dreams.

Through a holistic approach, these investments are made with the recognition that every priority is intrinsically related to others. Essential life needs must be met before young people can be expected to do well in the education system. Training must be comprehensive and effective before they can positively participate in the labour market and contribute to their upward social mobility. And a sense of community is both a necessary prerequisite and a highly desirable outcome of all such initiatives.

Their Vision – A world in which every child attains the right to equal treatment and the opportunity to succeed in life.

Their Mission – To provide critical support to vulnerable children and communities.

As a non-profit, we know that sometimes it is difficult to obtain enough funding to support your programs. To help out, ERA offers an e-waste fundraiser program to benefit charities and other non-profit groups. If you would like to apply and learn more about this program, please go to the link here.
