ERA Donated Laptops to PADH in Toronto

By electronic recycling association September 21, 2023

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently contributed 3 laptops to Parents Against Driving High (PADH) in Toronto. This donation will equip PADH with essential electronic resources to facilitate their programs while bolstering the educational, awareness, and advocacy initiatives for their cause.

The Parents Against Driving High (PADH) was started by a group of concerned parents who share a common goal to raise awareness about how driving under the influence of drugs can be extremely hazardous and result in accidents, injuries, and even fatalities. PADH firmly believe that driving while high is equally as dangerous as driving under the influence of alcohol and must be addressed as a serious issue.

Their mission is to provide education to parents and teenagers on the dangers of driving high and offers practical advice on how to avoid impaired driving. They also prioritize advocating for stronger laws and more severe penalties for those caught driving under the influence of drugs. However, they don’t stop at just raising awareness. They also believe that parents have a vital role to play in combating drug use, and they passionately encourage open and honest conversations between parents and children about drugs and their consequences. In essence, their primary goal is to promote safer driving habits, and help prevent drug-related accidents and fatalities from happening on Toronto roads.

The ERA’s commitment to recycling and sustainability is also reflected in this donation. By providing refurbished computer fans, they are not only extending the lifespan of these electronic components but also promoting eco-friendly practices in education. This aligns perfectly with the ERA’s broader mission of reducing electronic waste and promoting responsible recycling.
