ERA Donates 30 Laptops to 4 Calgarian Schools this Christmas

By electronic recycling association December 17, 2019

Today, we were pleased to work with Kayla’s Computers for Kids in Calgary to donate 30 laptops to 30 students in need. Together, we ventured out to the northeast to donate to Crossing Park School, Ecole La Mosaique, Annie Gale School and Clarence Sansom School. These schools worked together to choose the students who they felt needed the device the most.

Kayla’s Computers for Kids is a non-profit charitable organization whose goal is very similar to the ERA’s, to reduce the negative impact e-waste has on our environment through refurbishment and donation. However, their primary focus on donating computers and phones to children is only based in Calgary and its surrounding areas. Their motto is “Together we can make a child happy”.

They believe that today’s children are in need of computers for schoolwork and socializing. Their mission is to help these children receive the gift of technology so that they can excel and achieve greatness. This non-profit is inspired by and dedicated to the Founder’s daughter, Kayla.

We were able to donate 10 laptops to 10 students in Crossing Park School and Ecole La Mosaique. The other two schools, Annie Gale School and Clarence Sansom School each received 5 laptops.
