ERA Donates Cell Phones to Support Victims of Serious Crime in Vancouver

By electronic recycling association August 30, 2024

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) recently donated five cell phones to the Vancouver Police Department’s Victim Services Unit. These devices will serve as a vital resource for victims of serious crime, offering them a means of communication during a difficult time.

The Vancouver Police Department’s Victim Services Unit provides essential support to individuals who have experienced traumatic events. The donated cell phones will be given to clients who are in need, helping them stay connected with loved ones, access services, and maintain communication with law enforcement as they navigate their path to recovery.

ERA’s mission to reduce electronic waste by repurposing devices for those in need aligns perfectly with this initiative. By donating these cell phones, ERA not only helps the environment but also makes a positive impact on the lives of those affected by crime.

The Electronic Recycling Association’s mission to support non-profits with affordable technology is driven by the belief that technology should be an enabler, not a barrier. We invite other organizations and individuals to join us in this cause. Through donations and support, we can collectively make a significant impact, ensuring that more non-profits have the tools they need to succeed.
