The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has donated a projector to the Youth Action Group (YAG) in Mission, BC. This valuable contribution equips YAG’s volunteers with the technology needed to operate the association virtually and from home.
The Youth Action Group, led by passionate youth advocates, is committed to eliminating barriers and providing inclusive programming and services to young individuals. Despite having no paid employees, YAG’s unwavering dedication is made possible through the steadfast support of the community and grants.
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004 to address the growing problem of e-waste and the increasing ‘digital divide’. For over fifteen years, ERA has offered simple solutions to help individuals and organizations prevent operational equipment from premature destruction. With a focus on recovery, refurbishment and reuse, ERA continuously supplies charitable groups with donated IT equipment while securely managing the retiring IT assets of organizations and individuals across Canada.
We believe that reuse before recycling is critical in managing the waste created by computer hardware, and by offering industry leading data destruction for all equipment we receive, we have securely repurposed hundreds of tons of equipment. Because not everything ERA receives can be reasonably repurposed, we have partnered with certified recycling organizations to process equipment that has reached the end of its productive life.
Get involved with the Electronic Recycling Association and help work towards a future without e-waste. Invite the ERA to your community cleanup, host an e-waste fundraiser, spend some time volunteering at the ERA, or initiate an e-waste collection at your business.
Consider dropping off your pre-loved electronics to ERA and we will work to donate them to those who need them most!
