On March 25th, 2023 the Owen Sound Police & Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) partnered together to help the community of Owen Sound protect their private information through data destruction.
We held an electronics collection and data shredding event at the Sydenham Campus where citizens came to donate unwanted electronic devices such as hard drives, computers, laptops, phones, tablets, tapes and other small devices storing sensitive data. Citizens where able to securely destroyed OR wiped clean and re-used for FREE in support of Fraud Prevention Month.
