Those who have received the equipment from Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) in the past have remarked on how windows of opportunity are opened by having the equipment. Shell Canada has been an instrumental partner of ERA in helping to fill some of the multitudes of requests we receive on a daily basis. The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) was one of the grateful recipients of Shell Canada’s contribution and happy to receive 20 laptops to their low-income newcomer clients in Calgary, AB.

Founder & CEO Bojan Paduh states, “Our partnership with Shell Canada has allowed us to donate thousands of devices to charities and individuals in need throughout the community and the country over the years. We look forward to continuing to positively impact lives through the gift of technology.”

The Immigrant Education Society (TIES) is a not-for-profit organization devoted to assisting immigrants and economically challenged individuals. Founded in 1988, they envision an inclusive and pluralistic society that provides innovative language education, customized employment training and placement, and integration services to newcomers and Canadians based on best practices.  TIES is an integral part of Calgary’s immigrant-serving community and continue to strive to give newcomers and low-income Canadians the opportunities to find their rightful place in the city of Calgary.
