At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe in the power of technology to transform lives and bring communities closer together. We are thrilled to announce our recent donation of a laptop to Mishka Social Services in Hamilton, Ontario, as part of our ongoing mission to support local communities and promote digital literacy.
Mishka Social Services offers a vital computer literacy program that empowers seniors to navigate the digital world confidently. Typically, this program sees around 10 seniors each week, providing them with essential skills to stay connected and engaged in today’s technology-driven society. However, they needed one more laptop to ensure each participant had their own device during sessions. ERA stepped in to fill this gap, ensuring that all seniors in the program can benefit fully from the lessons. Mishka Social Services is dedicated to bridging the gap between existing services in Hamilton and the diverse Muslim, newcomer, immigrant, and refugee populations. Their commitment to inclusivity means that their services are open to everyone, regardless of faith.

The Electronic Recycling Association donates refurbished technology and IT devices to a number of different organizations across Canada, varying from non-profits, charities, schools, and care centers. The ERA is proud to support the communities we operate in and work towards creating a future where technology isn’t a barrier to any individual. The ERA believes that providing laptops to the less fortunate enables unimaginable outcomes and advances in the digital era. In a world where technology links people together, our donated laptops and computers also aid in keeping recipients connected with loved ones.
