Fearless R2W Receives Laptops from ERA & Winnipeg BBB

By electronic recycling association November 25, 2022

Clients at the Fearless R2W are working on new-to-them electronic equipment thanks to a partnership between the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), Better Business Bureau serving Manitoba and NW Ontario (BBB) and the BBB Education Foundation of Manitoba.

The ERA is excited to announce that the partnership donated 10 laptops that were refurbished following a recycling event held in Winnipeg this past September by the BBB.  The devices will be given to clients of Fearless R2W that are from a predominantly BIPOC community for pre-employment training.

Fearless R2W is a non profit that serves parents working to reunify with their children and youth aging out of care. They provide opportunities for learning about child welfare in Manitoba, build community and provide advocacy when possible.

About the Better Business Bureau of Manitoba & North Western Ontario

BBB’s mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. It does this by

  • Setting standards for marketplace trust
  • Encouraging and supporting best practices by engaging with and educating consumers and businesses
  • Celebrating marketplace role models
  • Calling out and addressing substandard marketplace behavior
  • Creating a community of trustworthy businesses and charities

BBB sees trust as a function of two primary factors – integrity and performance. Integrity includes respect, ethics, intent, and working toward a diverse, inclusive and equitable marketplace. Performance speaks to a business’s track record of delivering results in accordance with BBB standards and/or addressing customer concerns in a timely, satisfactory manner.
