Join ERA in Manitoba for Brandon’s Earth Day Event!

By electronic recycling association April 17, 2024

As the world becomes increasingly aware of the environmental impact of electronic waste, communities are rallying together to find sustainable solutions. One such initiative is the Brandon Earth Day Committee’s Community Cleanup and E-Waste Collection Event, and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is thrilled to be a part of it. On April 20th, 2024, from 11am to 3pm, join us at the Riverbank Discovery Centre, #1 – 545 Conservation Drive, Brandon, MB R7A 7L8, for a day of environmental action and community spirit.

The ERA will be on-site to collect unwanted electronics, ensuring they are safely and securely diverted from landfills. This event provides a convenient opportunity for residents of Brandon and surrounding areas to dispose of their electronic waste responsibly.

Accepted items include:

  • Laptops/Computers
  • Computer parts (motherboards, hard drives, etc.)
  • Keyboards, mice, wires/cables
  • Mobile phones
  • Gaming consoles
  • Stereo equipment
  • Software (operating, editing, design)
  • CD/DVDs and cards
  • Lab equipment

Please note: We do not accept household items.

All items collected during the event will undergo a refurbishment process. Rather than languishing in a landfill, these electronics will be given a new lease on life. The refurbished devices will then be donated back into the Manitoba community, benefiting individuals and organizations in need.

Participating in this event is not only an opportunity to declutter your space and dispose of electronic waste responsibly but also a chance to contribute to the greater good. By choosing to recycle your electronics with the ERA, you’re not only protecting the environment but also supporting local communities.

So mark your calendars for April 20th, 2024, and join us at the Riverbank Discovery Centre for Brandon’s Earth Day Cleanup and E-Waste Collection Event. Let’s work together to make a positive impact on our environment and our community. See you there!
