ERA Helps Newcomers in Gatineau, QC
At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe in the power of technology to transform lives. By repurposing gently used electronics, we help charities and nonprofit organizations extend their impact. Recently, we were proud to support Move and Act for Africa (MAFA) with a donation of a laptop and projector, tools that will significantly enhance their ability to assist immigrants and refugees in Gatineau, Quebec.

Supporting Newcomers Through Technology
MAFA is dedicated to empowering newcomers by providing essential resources, guidance, and community support. As immigrants and refugees settle into their new lives in Canada, access to technology plays a crucial role in their integration. A laptop can help individuals apply for jobs, learn new skills, and access essential services, while a projector can enhance workshops, making training sessions more engaging and informative.
With this donation, MAFA’s team will be better equipped to provide digital literacy training, job application assistance, and community outreach programs. This contribution underscores ERA’s mission to bridge the digital divide while fostering inclusive communities.
How You Can Help
Do you have a laptop or desktop collecting dust? Your donation could make a meaningful difference for charities like MAFA. If your company is upgrading its IT equipment, consider making a bulk donation to maximize your impact while ensuring secure, eco-friendly disposal.
Requests from organizations in need continue to rise. By donating your used electronics, you’re not just reducing e-waste—you’re empowering communities and supporting vital social programs.
